Associate Systems Integration Engineer

The Associate System Integration Engineer/scientist will be actively involved in the development and optimization of multiplexed immunoassays for SQI’s product pipelines. He/She will play a key role in taking assay designs from the bench to the automated platforms by acting as a liaison between assay and platform engineering team.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the platform engineering team to convey assay requirements and help ensure that hardware and software capabilities are aligned with assay requirements
• Create assay definitions to realize bench assays on SQI’s automated systems
• Create analysis tools to automate assessment of assay performance
• Become an expert on the interaction between SQI’s assays and instrumentation
• Use engineering and assay know-how to assist with statistical plans for calibration, assay verification/validation activities
• Assist in the overall development and management of traceability of assays from requirements to all the way to verification and validation
• Perform other related assay development tasks as required

Education, Qualifications, and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical/chemical engineering or chemistry
• New graduate with coop/intern industry experiences

• Creatively challenges the status quo to find new ways of working
• Familiarity with Matlab (or equivalent), R and Python is an asset
• Familiarity with advanced statistical analysis
