Manufacturing Arrayer Technician

The Manufacturing Arrayer Technician will be responsible for maintaining and operating all microarray printing technologies, including core arraying instruments and peripheral equipment, in support of the development and manufacturing of in vitro diagnostics kits at SQI Diagnostics, Inc in accordance to current regulatory environments (eg. ISO 13485, cGMPs, FDA)

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain all SQI Microarray Equipment, including core arraying instruments and peripheral infrastructure in supporting these core instruments, in accordance with effective procedures and policies
  • Effective communication with other manufacturing team members and other departments to ensure products are provided in a timely and efficient manner to meet SQI milestones and timelines.
  • Compliance to quality standards as described by ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, and SQI company policies and regulations
  • Assist in research and development of new Microarray technologies that will improve manufacturing processes for current and/or new products developed at SQI Diagnostics
  • Assist in implementation of new equipment into Manufacturing
  • Review and sign off documentation corresponding to manufacturing/development operations on print runs (E.g. IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Manage inventory for all printer related materials, including materials for preventative maintenance and pins. This includes management of pin inventory system, including troubleshooting of nozzles (e.g. retirement and/or selection of nozzles for specific runs).
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree, preferably in a biological science or engineering
  • 1 to 2 years experience in regulated manufacturing environment; ISO 13485, cGMP
  • 1 to 2 years experience in electronics/automation assembly or microfluidics
  • Protein chemistry knowledge and asset
  • Previous experience working in a microarray production highly desirable
  • Programming skills is an asset

Other Required Skills:

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of microarray technologies and concepts
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to follow written instructions very closely
  • Highly motivated, conscientious, self-managed team player.
